Storm on a beach
The third in the series of grey beach paintings features
a threatening rainstorm on the horizon. The impending storm doesn't put off some avid beachwalkers!
I have used a bold-brush and grey pallet to construct this little painting.

Grey beach
The first of a series of grey-day beach paintings.
There is something exhilirating about walking a beach with a threatening sky in the distance. There seems to be an uninterupted connection between the sky, the sea and those who wade the beach. It's as if we can in some way be connected with the storm and yet feel the safety of the distance from it.

Sometimes we don't want a full plunge into the sea and rolling up pants and taking off shoes and socks does the trick. As for dogs, generally they will go in fearless of any thought of the coldness of the water specially if there is a tennis ball to chase!
Beach waders - acrylic on canvas sheet - 36x24cm
