Moon over the Thames

This study piece for a larger work is based on a photo by renowned photographer Mark
Zinzag from his London series. I have arranged with Mark to be able to use his photographs in this way for a series of paintings on London. The photo 'A view across the Thames' is taken late in the day from the Waterloo Bridge and looks toward the Blackfriars Bridge. It has a certain romantic quality about the photo that I have enhanced by adding the rising moon and more haziness and lots of other artistic license!
