Shadows on Goolwa Beach

Goolwa Beach is indeed my favourite. Long shallows, a constant ocean swell and a beach haze that can look etherial are some of its attractions. In the summer it can be full of people enjoying the sun and surf and in the cooler months it is frequented by walkers and cocklers. On this day the sun cast its playful shadows along the beach and sandhills.
This weeks series of auction pieces are small studies in preparation for the Fleurieu Art Prize later in 2011 - http://www.artprize.com.au/ - the world's richest landscape art prize.
Shadows on Goolwa Beach - 22x11cm acrylic on stretched canvas - ready to hang.
